So how does it work?
If you are interested in booking, all you need to do is get in touch and we can book you in! Even if your wedding is not for a while, its worth booking in the date of your wedding as soon as you can, to avoid disappointment. Then we can arrange a trial session! It's best to have a trial session once you have ordered your wedding dress so we can create a style to compliment your dress. Its also useful to have decided whether you wish to wear a veil or tiara, as this can also influence your chosen hair style.
I would recommend the trial session be held approximately 3 months before the date of the wedding but it can be earlier or later if you prefer, providing your hair style and length will be similar on the wedding date.
Where are the trial sessions held?
On the day of the wedding I travel to the required venue or address where the bridal party are getting ready. Sometimes this is the same home address I attend for the trial. If you don't have a local address, you may have a family or friends address where I may come to you for the trial. If not, it is possible for you to come to my home in Rochester, Kent for your trial session.
How do I choose a final style?
I ask all my brides to send me pictures prior to the trial, to give me ideas of the styles they like. Many brides find creating a Pinterest board for this useful and this can be shared with me via Pinterest, if desired. Using images can help me to get a feel for your taste and wedding style so that I can be prepared in thinking along similar lines. This is very useful in helping to get the most out of the trial session, as most brides instantly decide upon the first or second style created, with maybe only a few tweaks!
What if I don't know how I want my hair?
Even if you are unsure of how you want you hair, don't worry! You can share pictures of your dress style with me and I can help to advise you and give you options. Plus you don't have to make an instant decision on the day of the trial. We can take pictures and you can take your time to decide. Occasionally some brides like to have a second trial which can be arranged at an additional cost of £40.
What if I don't have enough hair for my dream wedding hair style?
Don't panic! As long as you have shoulder length hair, you don't need to desperately try to grow your hair or worry it won't be long enough. If you don't have the required hair length or thickness we can fake it with hair padding and/or hair extensions! You'll be surprised by how many people do! I can help advise you on the hair extensions you may need to purchase and then I will work my magic! Inexpensive clip-in hair extensions are so readily available, that you'll be able to get them matched to your hair colour perfectly to achieve your desired look.
When do I pay the deposit?
I don't take a deposit for the wedding day until the day of the trial. On the day of the trial 50% of the total bridal party booking fee is payable, which includes the non-refundable cost of the trial. The remaining 50% is paid on the day of the wedding. Payment is via cash or cheque only. Any additional trial sessions are paid for separately.
